This year we have decided to not only tackle the Three Peaks of the UK but also complete the challenge within 24 hours. So I thought it a great opportunity to raise some cash for a worthwhile cause so yes I am going to give you a bit of a spiel.....!
 
The Three Peaks Challenge involves climbing the UK's three highest mountains (Ben Nevis, Scafell Pike and Snowdon) within 24 hours (including some frantic minibus travelling between the peaks) We will be racing against the clock, attempting to rest in the back of a minibus between peaks and braving whatever challenges and conditions the mountains throw at us. Scafell Pike has the highest rainfall in England, it’s so wet its residents have webbed hands – and no they aren’t circus folk.  The distance trekked is around 26 miles, the height climbed is a jaw dropping 10,000 feet, and the distance to be covered between the mountains is some 450 miles - via minibus.  There are 11 of us in total - so just keeping the 11 of us together is going to be a challenge in itself.
 
Given that a few members of the team are friends with James Gribble, we have decided to use this challenge as a way of showing our support for James, as we know that this sort of adventure is something that James would certainly get involved in if given the opportunity. Furthermore, we hope to  raise some money for James to aid his ongoing rehabilitation.
